COVID-19 has changed many things in our lives. It’s been industry-wide problem to hire and secure good team mem- bers, especially in healthcare sector such as dentistry. In 2020, dental assistants first became extremely scarce, and their average compensation has increased from $18/hr to $30/hr. In Intrin, we hire candidates with relevant background but no exact dental experience. Then we use our training program to teach them the DA duties on the job, and help them secure all necessary certifications and license. It was also difficult to secure great dentists who already knew how to perform all aspects of dentistry.
That’s why Dr. Chong and Dr. Kwon established Think Dental Institute. Utilizing On-Demand lectures and hands-on courses, our dentists in Intrin Dental Group enjoy high-quality dental education programs while working, instead of spending tens of thousands of dollars while taking time off their work. In 2022, Think Dental Institute began offering trainings for administrative staff, including dental billing team, receptionist, patient coordinators, and managers. In 2024, Think Dental now launches Dental Hygiene Program in order to provide solution to nationwide staffing challenges.
